Stefano Panseri

CEO, Despe



Stefano Panseri began his career immediately after his studies, in 1996, directing the newly founded 'Despe Amianto' family business, specialising in asbestos removal.


From 1997 he dealt with all Despe quality (IS) 9002) certifications (ISO 9002) and since 2000 he has been CEO of Despe, managing the company with his father Giuseppe and his brother Roberto.


Since 2003 Stefano has been a board member NADECO, the Italian Association for the Demolition and Circular Economy, as well as being a member of its technical committee, and he is currently vice president of the European Demolition Association (EDA).


In 2017 he was awarded as one of the Top 25 Newsmakers of the Year by the American Engineering News Record Magazine for leading the team developing the “Self-Climbing Kokoon” perimeter protection system.


He has been a guest and speaker at the most important international conferences in the sector and interlocutor of some Italian universities as the leading expert in the field of demolition.


Among his most important projects, certainly the nuclear decomissioning of the Caorso plant, the TopDownWay which has made the company one of the main overseas players and the demolition of the Piacenza bridge, which was the subject of a documentary made by National Geographic Television.
